We assess a plant's steam surface condenser(s) and map its attributes to determine what data we should collect from its operation to best monitor and intervene to keep the plant's condenser operating at peak efficiency.
Working with a plant operators, we determine what data inputs would best reflect anomalies that need intervention to keep the condenser operating at peak efficiency. We can collect data from field inspections and repair events, remote monitors that we place in and about the condensers and from other data collection devices that the plant operators use.
We automate the analysis of condenser data using computer models trained on current industry standards and benchmarks promulgated by the Heat Exchange Institute. We further improve these models with a set of best practices we have developed from over fifty (50) years of combined experience working with condenser maintenance, repair and operation for domestic and international thermal power generation plants.
Our eSentinel monitoring system outputs and displays the results of our automated, computerized data analysis in a format that is easy for a plant operator to access and use. This output and display is intuitive, informative, and easy to use, alerting the operator to conditions that might require further research and comparison to historical data, as well as intervention.
Our experts work with plant operators to interpret data analysis outputs and conduct further research to detect and evaluate anomalies that might adversely effect a condenser's efficiency. Additional research might involve field inspections, the ingestion of additional data inputs into the model from data collected elsewhere in the plant or from the installation of additional sensors in the plant.
We work across many power plants. While no two (2) condensers are alike, there are certain patterns we have substantial experience in evaluating. We have industry experience in advising on intervention actions that keep a condenser operating at peak efficiency, burning less fuel, producing more power and avoiding outages for unanticipated repairs.
